PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ronaldo Castro scored in the 56th minute to break a 1-1 tie and send the Taconic boys soccer team on to a 3-1 win over McCann Tech on Tuesday at Berkshire Community College.

 

The Hornets took a lead with about 10 minutes left in the first half when Jack Cooper scored on a header assisted by Max Morin.

 

But Taconic was able to get the equalizer right away from Travis Hoose, and the teams went to break with the score level.

 

Castro’s game-winner was assisted by Makai Shepardson, who also set up an insurance goal by Ezra Ezan two minutes later.

 

McCann Tech (8-3-4) goes to Adams on Thursday to face Hoosac Valley.
