BOSTON, Mass. -- St. Joseph Prep scored two second half goals to erase a deficit and hand the McCann Tech boys soccer team a 2-1 loss in the preliminary round of the Division 5 State Tournament on Thursday.

 

After a scoreless first half in which McCann Tech coach Stephen McAllister felt his team controlled the play, Justin Chen scored with an assist from Ivan Liang to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead in the second.

 

But St. Joe got the tying goal on an own goal and scored again 10 minutes later.

 

"It seemed like the boys got down after their own goal and couldn't pick themselves back up," McAllister said. "Overall, it was a great season."
