NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Shane Fuller scored two goals and assisted on a third, and Dillon Carr and Connor Little played a strong game in the back to lead the McCann Tech boys soccer team to a 4-1 win over Mount Everett on Wednesday afternoon.
Fuller opened the scoring in 10 minutes into the second half when he converted a feed from Josh Budaj, who worked the ball down the left side to create the chance.
Moments later, Fuller set up Damon Couture with a through ball through the middle for the eventual game-winner.
"We missed some chances in the first half but didn't change our game plan even when we were tied 0-0," McCann coach Tom Bona said. "The second half, our conditioning paid off and we controlled the ball much better which increased our scoring chances. Mount Everett's goalie played very well, but we finally got a few past him which gave us the momentum.
Fuller's second goal of the game made it 3-0 before the Eagles scored on a shot from the top of the penalty area.
Steven Lemire scored in the game's final minute to provide an exclamation point for the Hornets (3-0).
Chris Gajda stopped seven shots for McCann, which hosts Franklin Tech on Monday.
