ADAMS, Mass. -- Three different Monument Mountain Spartans scored on Thursday to lead their team to a 3-0 boys soccer win at Hoosac Valley.
Nowell Cowell got things started when he scored on a through ball from Dan Newey in the fourth minute. Before half-time, Matt Walsh set up Aidan Santos to make it 2-0.
Monument put the game out of reach in the second half when Ben Badurski drilled a shot from outside the 18 into the upper 90.
Garrett Happ made two stops to earn the shutout.
Collin Rousseau had five saves for Hoosac Valley (2-4-1), which hosts Wahconah on Monday.
