 DALTON, Mass. -- Elena Iovino scored one goal and set up another Thursday to help the Wahconah girls soccer team earn a 2-0 win over Easthampton in the first round of the Division 4 State Tournament.
After a scoreless first half, Olivia Gamberoni scored the game-winner in the first minute of the second half.
Lilly Robb set up Iovino for an insurance goal 15 minutes later.
Wahconah moves on to the Sweet 16, where it awaits the winner of Saturday’s game between Blackstone-Millville Regional and Millbury High School.
