WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Victoria Murphy's second goal of the day, a blast on a direct kick with 54 seconds left, gave the Lee girls' soccer team a 2-2 tie with Mount Greylock on Thursday.

Murphy's last-minute strike canceled out Alex Majetich's goal eight minutes earlier, securing the second 2-2 draw against the two South Division rivals this season. Murphy also tied the game in the first half, nine minutes after sophomore Kelsey Orpin gave the Mounties (5-3-3) a 1-0 lead by scoring off of a pass from freshman Melissa Swann.

"This was an exciting, back-and-forth game that featured two evenly matched teams," Greylock head coach Tom Ostheimer said. "It looked like we had this hard-fought game in the bag, but Lee responded each time we got the go-ahead goal. Murphy's final goal with 54 seconds left was a beautifully-struck direct kick from 30 yards out on the right flank that went just under the crossbar."

Senior forward Alexandra DeVeaux assisted on Majetich's goal in the 71st minute, while classmate Margot Besnard finished with seven saves in net for the Mounties. Sara Middleton made 10 stops for the Wildcats (5-5-2), who next host Taconic at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Greylock returns to the pitch on Saturday with a 1 p.m. home game against Mohawk.
