Koperek Helps Lift Drury Girls to Second Straight

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Celene Koperek scored a goal and asssisted on another as the Drury High School girls soccer team used two second half goals to come from behind and beat Lee, 2-1, on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Blue Devils (3-9-2) have won two straight and are 2-2-2 in their last six games.
 
"This was a great game between Lee and Drury today," Blue Devils coach Maryjane Rumbolt said. "both teams came out strong and ready to play."
 
Shannon Finnegan scored midway through the first half to give the Wildcats (7-5) the lead.
 
"During half-time, we made a few changes to how we were playing," Rumbolt said.
 
The changes paid off about six minutes into the second half when Koperek scored unassisted. A couple of minutes later, Koperek sent the ball to Aubrey Rumbolt, who headed it home to give Drury the lead.
 
Heather Morris made 14 saves to earn the win.
 
Brianna Hawley stopped four shots for Lee.
 
Drury travels to Mount Everett on Tuesday. Lee hosts Commerce on Friday.
