Retzel Scores Twice to Lift Lee Girls

LEE, Mass. -- Karli Retzel scored twice and set up a third goal Monday to lead the Lee girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Duggan.

 

The Wildcats (4-4) led 1-0 at half-time on an unassisted goal by Retzel in the 17th minute.

 

“Duggan came ready to play today,” Lee coach Robin Finnegan said. “After starting out a bit flat, Lee rebounded to get the job done. The second half consisted of great passing and had many open looks at the goal: 14 shots on goal for  us. Hawley had a quiet day in the net with two saves. Duggan goalie Kelly Makenna had a great game for them.”

 

Lauren Finnegan had a goal and assist for Lee, which goes to Sabis on Thursday.
