LEE, Mass. -- Abby Schilling had a natural hat trick to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 6-1 win over Lee on Monday.

The Millionaires were able to adjust to Lee’s defensive strategy after a 1-0 first half to explode for five goals -- starting with Schilling’s second and third of the game in the first five minutes after half-time.

“We played a very hard 40 minutes of the first half, forcing them offsides,” Lee coach Lauren Finnegan said. “In the second half, we came out slow, and Lenox capitalized on that, sending strong through balls and timing their passes to the goal.”

Grace Elliot, Sarah Fenton and Shelby Lynch each scored a goal for Lenox (3-4-1), which got five saves from the combination of Sophie Patella and Julianne Haywood.

Brianna Hawley stopped 17 shots for Lee, which got a goal from Lydia Simone.

The Wildcats (3-4) host Duggan on Wednesday.

Lenox hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.
