LEE, Mass. — Lee Lady Wildcats improved to 2-0 with a win over Mount Everett on Monday afternoon, 4-0, behind two goals each from Victoria Murphy and Stephanie Young. The Wildcats dominated play as the Eagles had trouble penetrating the Lee defense.

Murphy started the scoring in the 8th minute with a goal assisted by Moriah McKenna. Lee had plenty of chances but Sam Hoover, the Eagles goaltender, kept Everett close at the half. Five minutes into the second half, Murphy scored again, this time unassisted, and Lee led 2-0.

Continuing the offense pressure, Young received a pass from Sami Hontas and put the ball in the back of the net to give Lee a 3-0 lead. The defense of the Wildcats were able to keep the Eagles from mounting any kind of threat and in the 65th minute Young scored again assisted by Murphy, and Lee rode the 4-0 lead to victory. Murphy now has four goals in two games for the Wildcats.

Lee will host Mount Greylock on Thursday Sept. 13, at 4:15pm and Mount Everett will travel to Drury, same date and time.
