Koperek Hat Trick Leads Blue Devils to Win

PITSFIELD, Mass. -- Celene Koperek's hat trick on Tuesday led the Drury girls soccer team to its first victory of the year, a 7-1 win over Taconic.
 
Jill Tietgens set up Koperek for the game's first goal in the seventh minute. Koperek added another five minutes later, and Tietgens scored twice to make it 4-0 late in the first half.
 
Ally Lucas scored to get Taconic on the board before the half.
 
But Koperek added another goal in the 47th minute, and Kendra Gallagher and Jenna Moulton added insurance goals for the Blue Devils (1-9-1).
 
Ali Brassard made 10 saves to earn the win between the pipes.
 
Ashley Rufo made 15 stops for Taconic (1-9-1)
 
Drury goes to Lee on Thursday, when Taconic goes to Mount Everett.
