NORTHFIELD, Mass. -- Chevelle Raifstanger scored three goals, and the Mount Everett girls scored five straight to earn a 5-1 win after falling behind at Pioneer Valley on Thursday.

“We came a little flat today Pioneer took advantage of some of our miscues and found the back of the net first,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “After our timeout girls picked up the pace of play and started getting better touches on the ball.”

Julianna Valentini scored an unassisted goal before half-time to tie it.

Raifstanger scored two in a row to start the second half, and May Liebenow had her first varsity goal to make it a 4-1 game.

Emily Steuernagle had a pair of assists, and Hudah Ngoy Nkulu set up the third Raifstanger goal.

Mount Everett (4-1-1) hosts Lenox on Saturday.
