Cookis, Seniors Score Big on Senior Day for Generals

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Senior Trinity Cookis scored three goals to lead Pittsfield High to a 5-1 win over Taconic on Senior Day at Kirvin Park on Sunday.
 
Cookis' classmates Mollie Scott and Amanda Wright each scored a goal, and fullback Carly Robinson -- another senior -- had a pair of assists.
 
Ilana Albert set up two goals for the Generals, who improved to 9-2-2 this fall.
 
Angela Petretta and Allie Hunt combined to stop four shots in the victory.
 
Taconic's Lauren Curry scored an unassisted goal in the 66th minute to avoid the shutout. Brooke Mangiardi made 13 saves in the Taconic goal.
 
Pittsfield hosts Ludlow on Tuesday, when Taconic (3-9) plays at St. Joseph.
