LENOX, Mass. – Junior Aliza Munch recorded a hat trick Wednesday to lift the Lenox girls soccer team to a 4-1 Senior Night win over Hoosac Valley.

Munch completed her natural hat trick with an assist from Jocelyn Fairfield in the 39th minute to give the Millionaires a 3-0 half-time lead.

Zamira Sambert converted an Ashlyn Lesure assist for the Hurricanes midway through the second half.

But Maddi Pope scored for Lenox a minute later to re-establish the three-goal margin.

“With both teams jockeying for a seat in Class D Western Mass as well as state tournaments, this was a must win for both teams,” Lenox coach Brian Seminara said. “Both teams had some dangerous moments. Luckily Lenox had Aliza Munch, who's recovering from injury herself to get the hat trick and help extend the seniors’ season.”

Ella Hall made three saves to earn the win in goal.

Emma Meczywor had three stops for Hoosac Valley (4-9-2) hosts Springfield Central on Thursday.

Lenox (6-6-2) goes to Mount Greylock on Friday.
