CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The offense of the Hoosac Valley girls' soccer team had a rare off day on Tuesday, resulting in a 3-1 win for visiting Lenox and the end of the Hurricanes' five-game win streak.

The game started off well enough for Hoosac with a goal from junior Megan Rodowicz off of a pass from midfielder Jennifer Gale only seven minutes into the game. Freshman Alesandra Arace answered with a pair of goals for the Millionaires, one five minutes before halftime and the other just one minute into the second half.

The Hurricanes (8-3) had chances to score in the second half but couldn't find a way past goalie Kathy Prescott (seven saves) and the Lenox defense. Junior Josie Marshall then put the game for the Millionaires (7-3-2) by scoring an unassisted goal with two minutes left in the match.

Sophomore Megan Richardson made nine saves in net for Hoosac. Hoosac Valley next hosts rival Drury at 5 p.m. on Monday.
