NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Madi Vigna scored a goal and added an assist on Monday to help the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team to a 5-0 win over Drury.

Lily Kronick, Ashlee Meczywor, Ellie Field and Shaleigh Levesque each scored a goal for the Hurricanes (4-1-1).

Kailynne Frederick and Alie Mendel combined on the shutout win in goal, with Mendel making eight saves in the second half.

Alli Brassard stopped nine shots for the Blue Devils.

“Alli Brassard made key saves to keep the score down in the first half,” Drury coach Maryjane Rumbolt said. “The second half of the game we took advantage of Hoosac putting in their younger players and moved key players Aubrey Rumbolt and Miranda Wissman to forwards where we were able to move the ball up the field and put some pressure on their goalie.  A cross in from Wissman to Rumbolt just couldn’t quite make it over the line for a goal before it was sent back out.”

Drury (1-8) travels to Williamstown to play Mount Greylock on Thursday.

Hoosac Valley goes to Pittsfield on Wednesday.
