CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Solia Herndon-Schmid scored a pair of goals Friday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over Hoosac Valley.

Aliza Munch had a goal and an assist, and Arianna Roberts scored a goal for the Millionaires, who led, 3-0, at half-time.

“We came out very sluggish and gave up a couple of goals,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. “We were not connecting with our passes, we were kicking the ball right down the middle right back into their defense.

“After the half we played a much better game. We generated some offense against a talented Lenox team.”

Emma Meczywor and Talia Rehill combined to make four saves for the Hurricanes.

Gabriella Hull stopped two shots to earn the shutout for Lenox.

“Unfortunately, not the best outcome for our seniors on Senior Day but it was nice to celebrate them,” Budaj said. “With all that has been going on, we were not sure if we would even have a Senior Day for them. A great group of girls.”

Lenox hosts Mount Everett on Saturday for its Senior Night.
