Lesure Goal Gives Hoosac Valley Girls Second Straight Win

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Ashlyn Lesure scored from the left wing to break a 2-2 tie and send the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team on to a 3-2 win over Springfield Central on Friday.
 
After Central got the opening goal, Maryn Capiello scored with an assist from Tia Kareh to tie it. With about nine minutes left in the first half, Bree Costine converted an assist from Alena Rehill to put the Hurricanes up, 2-1.
 
The visitors got the equalizer about eight minutes into the second half before Lesure scored after a run down the flank.
 
Emma Meczywor stopped 10 shots to earn the win in goal.
 
Hoosac Valley (2-12) hosts Mount Greylock on Monday.
