Moncecchi, Wahconah Shut Out Monument Mountain

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Izzie Viner and Noelle Furlong each scored a goal, and the Wahconah girls soccer team earned a 2-0 win over Monument Mountain on Monday evening.

 

Wahconah kept a five-game unbeaten streak alive and completed a season sweep of its Berkshire North Division rivals from South County.

 

Michaella Moncecchi stopped four shots to earn the shutout win in goal.

 

Helen Pajeski stopped eight shots for the Spartans (8-2), who go to Drury on Wednesday.

 

Wahconah (8-3-1) hosts Lenox on Thursday.
