Pittsfield Girls Beat Westfield on the Road

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Julia Eline Wright scored the game-winner late in the first half as the Pittsfield girls soccer team defeated Westfield, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon.
 
PHS took a 1-0 lead when Ilana Albert scored with a 20-yard blast in the seventh minute with help from Hannah Dargie.
 
Westfield answered 20 minutes later.
 
But in the 32nd minute, Molly Tierney set up Wright for a one-timer to give the Generals (3-1) the lead for good.
 
Early in the second half, Dargie scored on an assist from Cassidy Moon to provide some insurance.
 
Allie Hunt had four saves for PHS, which outshot Westfield, 16-5.
 
Pittsfield hosts Wahconah on Monday.
