DALTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah girls soccer team took a 5-1 victory over Pittsfield Monday evening in a battle for Berkshire North Division supremacy at Wahconah Regional High School.

It was Emmy Cote who led the Warriors with three goals, all of which came in the first half to give them a 3-1 lead going into half-time.

Pittsfield's goal came from Julia Eline to put the score at 2-1. Cote added third three minutes later to give them the 3-1 advantage.

Arden McKnight and Jocelyn Hill added two more for Wahconah in the second half.

Pittsfield goalie Allie Hunt had 26 saves in net. Kayla Kowalcyzk had 15 for Wahconah.

"As the shot totals indicate it was a little bit of a wide open game," Wahconah coach Pat West said. "Emmy Cote was on fire in the first half. All three of her goals were highlight reel shots.  Allie Hunt and Kayla Kowalczyk were impressive in the goals. Ilana Albert proved again she is one of the best players in Western Mass. She is fast and talented."

Pittsfield (12-4) looks to snap a two-game losing streak on Wednesday at home against Monument Mountain.

Wahconah (13-3-1) travels to meet Drury on Thursday.
