LENOX, Mass. -- Alessandra Arace registered a hat trick on Senior Night to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 3-3 tie against Hoosac Valley on Friday.

"This was a great game for us to have to prepare for post-season play," Lenox coach Kyle Zinchuk said. "Hoosac moved the ball well, and the intensity and physicality felt like a tournament game, so it was a good opportunity to get us in the right mind-set."

Arace scored the game's first goal with an assist from Nicole Gamberoni in the fourth minute.

But Hoosac Valley (6-10-2) responded with goals by Claudia Bresset and Madi Ryan to take a lead midway through the half.

Arace scored early in the second half to tie the game, but Ryan answered again to give the Hurricanes a 2-1 lead in the 64th minute.

Tova Brown set up Arace for the second time with about nine minutes left to earn the stalemate.

Shannon Meisberger made 10 saves for Lenox; Kailynne Frederick stopped seven shots for Hoosac Valley.

Lenox (11-4-3) will learn Monday who its first round opponent will be in the MIAA Western Mass tournament.
