LENOX, Mass. -- Allison Kinne scored in the 77th minute Tuesday to give the Monument Mountain girl soccer team a 1-0 win over Lenox.

Aubrey Blanchard set up the game-winner, the only shot that eluded senior keeper Shannon Meisberger on Senior Night for the Millionaires.

“All of our seniors played a fantastic game,” Lenox coach Kyle Zinchuk said. “Rose Pehlert, Jackie Hathaway, and Sarah Molk played a very organized defensive game on the back line.  Shannon Meisberger had several great saves in goal to keep the game scoreless, and Tova Brown played a great possession game in the midfield and was always a threat going forward.”

Emily Rada made seven saves for the Spartans (11-2-2).

Zinchuk said while Lenox did not get the result it wanted, the Millionaires turned in the kind of performance they can build upon in the post-season.

“It was a tough pill to swallow for the girls, coming with just three minutes left after they put out such a great effort and held the game scoreless for 77 minutes,” he said. “However, there were a lot of positives about our play today that we need to take away from this game looking forward.  This was a great game for both teams to play to prepare for the postseason in our respective divisions.”
