LEE, Mass. -- Caroline Maloney scored two goals Thursday to lead the Lee girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Drury.

 

Bella Lovato stopped five shots to earn the win in goal.

 

“It was a hard fought game right to the end by both teams,” Lee coach Lauren Finnegan said. “Lovato was outstanding in goal not showing her freshman status at all. Incredible team play and beautiful passing allowed Caroline Maloney the space she needed to hit the back of the net twice in the win. Defense was solid especially within the last 10 minutes of the game.”

 

Kayla McGrath scored for Drury, which got seven saves from McKenzie Dobbert.

 

The Blue Devils (0-5) hosts Mount Anthony of Bennington, Vt., on Monday.

 

Lee (3-0-1) goes to Lenox on Monday.
