WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Madison Ross scored four goals and assisted on two more Tuesday to lead the Mount Greylock girls soccer team to an 8-0 win over Taconic on opening day.

 

Clara McWeeny scored twice, and Jane Skavlem and Lily Lesieur each had a goal for the Mounties.

 

Brianna Dowling and Delaney Babcock split time in the Mount Greylock goal, combining for six saves.

 

Mount Greylock (1-0) hosts Pittsfield on Thursday evening.

 

Taconic (0-1) is at Lee on Thursday.
