SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Allison Steuernagle had a goal and an assist Thursday to lead the Mount Everett girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Gateway.

 

Steuernagle scored the game-winner with an assist from Julianna Valentini.

 

Ella Gennari and Stella Lennex then added first-half goals to give the Eagles a three-goal half-time lead.

 

“The girls did a good job of possessing and moving the ball,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We were able to put some pressure on Gateway early and continue to work on the little things we've been talking about at practice and in game situations. Proud of the kids for playing hard, seeing the field, and finding teammates when they had to.”

 

Emma Goewey stopped one shot to earn the shutout in goal.

 

Mount Everett (3-2) goes to Lee on Tuesday.
