LEE, Mass. -- Karli Retzel and Nikki Laudon each scored an unassisted goal to lead the Lee girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Hoosac Valley on Monday.

 

Cali Romaniak scored for the Hurricanes, who changed things up in their lineup and played a strong game in their first outing since being eliminated from post-season contention.

 

"My team made some great opportunites and passes we just could not get the ball in the back of the net," Hoosac coach Kirstin Holmgren said. "We had our goalie Meg on the field and Kailynne [Frederick] in the net and she did really well today."

 

Frederick was credited with 19 saves.

 

Hoosac (5-10) finishes the year at Drury on Wednesday.
