PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Janayah Jones had 11 kills Tuesday to lead the Taconic High volleyball team to a three-set win over Mount Anthony Union.

Jones also pulled up four digs and served an ace as the Thunder qualified for the state tournament with its 10th victory this fall.

“Our silent assassin, Jadyn Galliher, came through again with seven kills, another block and two aces to help boost our offensive attack and keep Mount Anthony on their heels,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Aliyah DelSonno also made some great plays on the net and added four kills to the tally sheet.”

Ella Stodden filled the stat sheet with 20 assists, five aces, three kills, three digs and a pair of blocks.

Lacey Daly had a solid night at the service line with eight aces.

Taconic (10-4) hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.
