Petropulos Leads Mount Greylock to Narrow Win over Lee

LEE, Mass. -- Eighth-grader Owen Petropulos carded a 42 Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 181-184 win over Lee.
 
Petropulos' day included a birdie- on the par-4 fourth hole at Greenock Country Club.
 
Brayden Smith and Paul Roeder backed him up with 45s, and Xander Axt and Joe Jones each carded a 49 to round out the scoring for the Mounties.
 
Jones, playing in the second group with Petropulos, also birdied the fourth.
 
Lee's Camden Redstone birdied No. 4 and the par-5 sixth hole on his way to a team-best round of 43, one off the lead.
 
The Wildcats also got a birdie (on the par-3 second hole) and a round of 44 from Caleb Kollmer.
 
Dylan Boomsma birdied No. 6 and shot a 46. Adam Dingman scored for the Wildcats with a 51.
 
Mount Greylock goes to Wahconah on Wednesday.
