Mount Everett Girls, Greylock Boys Get Tennis Wins

Julia Groeber and Maya Neski picked up singles wins to lead the Mount Everett girls tennis team to a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock on Thursday.
 
The Mounties (0-3) got another win from Tara Shastri at first singles, who remained undefeated with a 6-2, 6-0 decision.
 
Mount Greylock also got a pair of three set battles from its double tandems.
 
At first doubles, Kateyln Dawson and Madeline Von Ruden defeated Amy Larabee and Miranda Dils, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
 
At second doubles, Anna Dupont and Shelby Tinker beat Oriana Van Slyke and Josie Dalsin, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6.
 
On the boys side, Nyein Soe was pushed in the first set at No. 1 singles, but he cruised in the second set to lead Mount Greylock to a 5-0 win.
 
Soe topped Jacob Malicky, 7-5, 6-0 at first singles.
 
Mount Greylock got additional singles wins from Will Nolan and Josh Narey.
 
In doubles, Jake Foehl and Gray Kaegi dropped just two games on the way to a win at No. 1. Matt Wiseman and Brady Foehl did them two better, prevailing, 6-0, 6-0.
