Monument Mountain Boys, Girls Swimmers Down Taconic

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Maddy Fife, Asa Stone and Anna Rubino each was a double winner Friday as the Monument Mountain girls swim team opened the season with a 134-29 win over Taconic.
 
It was a successful day for the Spartans in boys and girls competition as Nick Dillon and Harry Albert each won a pair of races to lead Monument to a 109-33 win over Taconic.
 
Dillon won the 200 individual medley in 2 minutes, 17.47 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.84. Albert won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.20 and the 500 free in 5:35.34.
 
Taconic’s Ben Bradnay earned his team’s lone win, taking the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.50.
 
Monument Mountain took first in all the girls races.
 
Fife won the 200 free (2:12.46) and 500 free (5:59.63). Stone won the IM (2:23.25) and 100 fly (1:03.82). Rubino won the 50 free (27.02) and 100 free (58.50).
