Mount Greylock's Maddie Albert was named the Berkshire County MVP in a vote of the league's high school girls track and field coaches.

Albert made the podium in the 400 hurdles and the 800 meters at the Division 2 Western Mass meet a couple of weeks ago. On Saturday, she placed fourth in the 400 hurdles at the Central/Western Massachusetts Division 2 Championships -- the second place finisher in the event from Western Mass.

Albert helped lead the Mount Greylock girls to an unbeaten season in dual competition this spring.

She was joined on the all-Berkshire County squad by five of her Mount Greylock teammates: Madison Ross, Lilly Wells, Jackie Wells, Josie Smith and Caroline Headley.

Sprinter Aliyah Bolling of Pittsfield, who finished sixth in the 200 at the Division 1 sectional meet on Saturday, was named the county's track MVP.

In field events, the county's MVP is Wahconah's Jessica Anderson, the fifth-best long jumper and sixth-best triple jumper at the D2 sectional meet.

Anderson also finished sixth in the pentathlon at the Central/Western Mass meet.

Anderson and Bolling each had a teammate join her on the all-league team.

Wahconah's Victoria Gamberoni and Pittsfield's Molly Tierney each were recognized by the coaches, who took into account top marks from the 2018 season, historically significant performances and versatility.

Lenox was second to Mount Greylock in honorees with four girls: Ellen Huth, Alice Najimy, Mary Elliot and Solia Schmid.

The team also includes Drury's Laura Thomas, Monument Mountain's Meri Powell and Taconic's Lily Lobovitz.
