McCormack, Malloy Lead Mounties

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Michael McCormack scored eight goals and had an assist to lead the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team to an 18-3 win over Pittsfield on Monday.
 
The Generals were within one of the Mounties (14-1) at the end of the first quarter, but Mount Greylock scored the next 14 goals to win it.
 
Matt Malloy scored four goals and had an assist. Cole Hughes had four assists to go along with his goal.
 
Sean McCormack and Liam Chenail each scored twice, and Cole Jackson had a goal and two assists for Mount Greylock, which got seven saves from Cal Filson and Pat Storie, who split time in goal.
 
Pittsfield's Nikolai Pixley made 12 saves.
 
Alex Teichert scored two goals for the Generals. Ryan Jacoby had a goal and an assist, and Cam Giardina set up one goal for Pittsfield.
 
On Wednesday, Mount Greylock goes to Monument Mountain, and Pittsfield makes the short trip to Dalton to take on Wahconah.
