The top-seeded Mount Greylock boys could see a familiar foe in the quarter-finals when the Central/Western Massachusetts Division 3 lacrosse tournament gets under way next week.

The Mounties (17-3) received a bye through the first round of the nine-team tournament and await a second-round home game against the winner of Tuesday’s first-round game between No. 9 Wahconah (11-7) and No. 8 St. Bernards (12-8) in Fitchburg.

Seventh-seeded Lee (10-5) also has a bye into the D3 quarters, where it will travel to face No. 2 Grafton (13-7).
In a crowded Division 2 boys field, Pittsfield (12-5) garnered the 15th of 18 seeds.

That means the Generals get to host a play-in game on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. against No. 18 Chicopee Comp (8-8). The winner of that game will advance to take on No. 2 St. John’s (17-1) of Shrewsbury.

Two Berkshire County girls teams advanced to the first-ever Central/Western Mass tourney, and both play in Division 2.

Sixth-seeded Mount Greylock (17-1-1) will be home on Tuesday against Springfield Cathedral (8-10). The winner will face No. 3 Littleton (13-5) in the quarters.

Wahconah’s girls (11-4-2) are seeded 10th and will be on the road in the first round, taking on No. 7 Tyngsboro (9-8).
