Wehner, Wahconah Win in Five Sets

DALTON, Mass. -- Faith Wehner had 11 aces and 11 digs Monday to lead the Wahconah volleyball team to a five-set win over Monument Mountain.
 
Wehner also recorded three kills as Wahconah prevailed, 25-11, 25-15, 25-27, 20-25, 15-12.
 
“Wahconah had a strong serving night with many aces in the first two sets,” coach DAve Lussier said. “Monument adjusted their serve receive and served well in the remaining three sets. It was a good, exciting match with many long rallies. Wahconah was able to come back from being down 8-6 in the final set to get the win.”
 
Kassidy Krejmas had 10 kills, three blocks and a pair of aces. Hannah Rose had five aces and five kills in the win.
 
Monument Mountain was led by Elena Angerman with nine kills, eight digs and six aces. Trinity Vincelette and Cate Consalati each had four kills and two aces for the Spartans.
 
Monument Mountain goes to Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
 
Wahconah is at Mount Everett on Wednesday.
