Wahconah Takes Two Wins on Home Course

DALTON, Mass. -- Dan Wilson carded a 4-over-par 39 on the front nine of Wahconah Country Club Wednesday to lead the Wahconah golf team to wins over Mount Greylock and Monument Mountain.
 
Four players finished at 44 or better to give Wahconah a team score of 165, well ahead of the Mounties' 178 and the Spartans' 189.
 
"We have definitely learned to play at home and are taking strides forward to start doing the same on the road," Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. "Every day is a learning experience for our young crew."
 
Monument Mountain's Benj Ryel picked up two birdies on his way to a two-over 37.
 
Ryel started his round with a birdie on the 367-yard, par-4 first hole. He later birdied the 147-yard, par-3 sixth.
 
Mount Greylock was led by Owen Petroulos and Alexander Axt with a 41 and a 43, respectively.
 
Backing up Wilson for Wahconah were Pat McLaughlin (40), Cam Lewis (42) and Tim Kaley (44).
