Pittsfield Boys, Girls Swim Past Taconic Hills

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Christian Marchbanks and Isaac Boyd each won two events Friday to lead the Pittsfield boys swimming team to a 67-16 win over Taconic Hills at the Boys and Girls Club.
 
In the girls’ meet, Jordan Bradford, Yael Snowise and Szofia Lewis each took a pair of wins as the Generals prevailed, 72-22.
 
Marchbanks won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 25.77 seconds an took the 500 free in 6:56.19.
 
Boyd won the 50 free in 24.34 and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.44.
 
Pittsfield’s boys also got wins from Connor Hayford in the 200 individual medley (2:29.16), Matt Miller in the 100 free (58.93) and Hayden Plouffe in the 100 breaststroke (1:22.12).
 
Bradford won the girls 200 free in 2:13.03 and the 100 butterfly in 1:14.37. Snowise won the 50 free (29.60) and 100 free (1:05.44). Lewis won the 200 IM (2:30.37) and 100 backstroke (1:11.25).
 
Emily Bradford and Abby Marsh each picked up a win, as well, for Pittsfield. Bradford took the 500 free in 6:06.27, and Marsh won the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.19.
 
Pittsfield’s boys and girls also swept all three relays.
 
The Generals go to the YMCA to swim against Taconic on Wednesday.
