Teichert, Generals Get Tourney Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Alex Teichert scored seven goals to lead Pittsfield High School's boys lacrosse team to a 15-12 win over Chicopee Comprehensive in the Central/Western Massachusetts tournament on Sunday afternoon at Kirvin Park.
 
The Generals led 6-1 early, watched Comp tie the score 12-12 in the fourth quarter and rolled off three straight goals to advance into the round of 16 in the Division 2 tournament.
 
Brenden leary scored four goals and added an assist for Pittsfield.
 
Nikolai Pixley stoppe 19 shots, including seven in the fourth quarter, for the Generals.
 
Ryan Jacoby had two goals and two assists, Cam Giardina scored a goal and set up three more, and David Charland scored once for Pittsfield.
 
The 15th-seeded Generals (13-5) move on to face No. 2 St. John's of of Shrewsbury (17-1) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
