Silverstein, Daoust Clinch Lenox Boys Tennis Win

LENOX, Mass. -- The Lenox boys tennis team Friday swept the doubles competition to earn a 3-2 win over Mount Everett on Senior Day.
 
“In our last home match for our seniors, the match came down to second doubles with senior team captain Evan Silverstein and rookie Max Daoust playing in his first match, squeezing out a first set a 6-4 , followed by a clinical performance in the second set to seal the match (6-4, 6-1),” Lenox coach Camilo Bermudez said.
 
At first doubles, Herkus Rudzinskas and Andrew Conlon battled to a 7-6, 7-5 win over Jake Martin and Andrew Hais.
 
Lenox’s other point came from Bradford Woodger, who earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
 
At first singles, Mount Everett’s Cole Duval battled back to earn a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 win over Ari Yantovsky.
 
Ethan Benoit took a 6-3, 6-2 win for the Eagles at second singles.
