WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Max Digrigoli carded a 2-over-par round of 38 on the front nine at Waubeeka Golf Links Monday to lead the Lenox golf team to a 163-167 win over Mount Greylock.

Digrgoli birdied the par-5 fourth hole, one of four birdies recorded by the two teams on the day.

Finishing one stroke back on the scoreboard was Mount Greylock’s Cameron Turner, who turned in a 3-over 39 after starting the day 2-over after two holes.

“Lenox showed up six deep with one of their final two players delivering the blow that took the lead and eventual win,” Mount Greylock coach Mitchell Spooner said.

"We are the best 1-3 team I have seen in this area, and I know we will make a solid run to close the year."

All 12 players in the varsity field finished at 49 or below on the day.

Lenox scored rounds from Cliff Flynn (39), Ben Haddad (41) and Noah Kirby (45).

Mount Greylock scored rounds from Owen Petropulos and Alexander Axt, who each finished with a 41, and Cayden Conry, who carded a 46.

"Today was the first time in his career Cameron Turner broke 40, and he did so making a great up-and-down on the last hole," Spooner said. "He has been knocking on the door of this daily, and to finally see him break through is a compliment to the last four years of hard work. This was an excellent round for him against a tough team."

Lenox hosts Wahconah on Tuesday. Mount Greylock hosts Mount Everett on Friday.
