MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Sean Davis went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and two runs scored, but the McCann Tech baseball team dropped an 8-4 decision to Old Colony in Sunday's State Vocational Tournament Championship Game.

Eathan Heller and Dylan Gigliotti scored the other runs for the Hornets, who got strong pitching from Austin Miller and Tim DeBlois, who combined to allow just two hits.

Errors figured prominently into a six-run Old Colony fourth inning that chased Miller (3-2/3, five walks, two hits, one strikeout).

DeBlois went to the mound and held top-seeded Old Colony hitless for 2-1/3 with three walks and a strikeout.

McCann (17-5) finds out on Monday who it will face in the first round of the MIAA Western Mass tournament.
