Ware Baseball Ends McCann Tech's Tourney Run

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Dillon Slattery went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in Monday to lead the Ware baseball team to a 6-1 win over McCann Tech in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 4 tournament.

 

Andrew Soltys struck out seven in a complete-game effort on the mound and helped his cause with a double for fifth-seeded Ware (11-4).

 

Ozzie Weber and Joshua Livsey split time on the mound for the Hornets (9-4), striking out nine.

 

Seth Farnsworth went 2-for-3, and Luke Thomas doubled in a run in McCann Tech’s eight-hit attack.
