Buda, Livsey Lift Hornets to First Win

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – McCann Tech’s Austin Buda and Josh Livsey combined to hold Mount Everett to three hits in a 13-0 win on Wednesday.
 
Buda earned the win with five innings of work, striking out 10. Livsey threw two innings of hitless relief, striking out four.
 
Buda also helped his cause with a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Livsey doubled while going 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs.
 
Noah DeBenedetto went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles in a 16-hit Hornet attack.
 
Collin Booth and Lukas Rylander each had a pair of hits. Rylander and Troy Tassone each doubled.
 
For the Eagles, Nathaniel Von Ruden, Michael Ullrich and Brady Carpenter each had a hit.
 
Heyden Cutlip and Michael Devoti split time on the mound for Mount Everett (1-1), which goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
 
McCann Tech (1-1) hosts Mount Greylock on Friday night at Joe Wolfe Field.
