Sherman, Taconic Come Back to Top Pope Francis

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Sam Sherman went 2-for-4 with a triple and a double on Saturday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 7-3, come-from-behind win over Pope Francis.
 
The Thunder stormed back from a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the bottom of the fourth and took the lead with a run one inning later.
 
Bo Bramer went 2-for-2 with a double, and Antonio Scalise and Michael Britten each doubled.
 
Adam Lazits earned the win on the mound, striking out six in five innings of work. Mike Lee struck out six in two innings of one-hit relief.
 
Taconic (14-1) hosts Northampton on Sunday morning.
