Taconic Takes Care of Agawam in Five

AGAWAM, Mass. – Matt Lee struck out 11 and allowed no hits in a 10-0, five-inning win for the Taconic baseball team on Wednesday.
 
Lee allowed just five base runners for Agawam and got a big lift from his offense when the Thunder scored four in the top of the first.
 
He helped his cause with a 2-for-4 day at the plate. Antonio Scalise went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs. Nick Guachione doubled and drove in two in an eight-hit Taconic attack.
 
Quentin Christopher stole three bases, and Taconic stole 14 as a team.
 
Taconic (4-1) hosts West Springfield on Tuesday.
