PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Matt Lee and Damon Pause homered in the bottom of the sixth, and Evan Blake threw a complete game gem on Tuesday as the Taconic baseball team beat Springfield Central, 4-0.

Blake struck out nine and walked two while scattering five hits.

It was a scoreless game through 5-½ innings before Lee hit a leadoff homer to put the Thunder on the board.

Blake earned a one-out walk and was erased on a ground ball from Nick Guachione. Guachione moved into scoring position when Antonio Scalise reached on an error, setting the stage for Pause.

Pause took an 0-1 pitch over the fence in center field to put Taconic on top, 4-0.

Central got a runner to third base with two out in the top of the seventh, but Blake got the next hitter to ground out to Christian Salzarulo at short.

Taconic (6-1) hosts East Longmeadow on Friday.
