Mount Everett Clinches League Championship

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Mount Everett’s Matt Lowe Tuesday struck out 10 in a complete-game, five-inning, 14-4 win over Hoosac Valley as the Eagles clinched sole possession of the Bi-County South Division Championship.
 
Lowe helped his cause with a 3-for-4 day at the plate.
 
Hunter DeGrenier went 2-for-3, and Michael Ullrich tripled in a 13-hit Mount Everett attack.
 
The Eagles (11-6) have an 8-1 league record going into Wednesday’s regular season finale at home against Drury.
 
Hoosac Valley (1-11) Tuesday got a 2-for-3 day and a double from Mike Szabo. Matt Witek also doubled.
 
The Hurricanes Thursday host Lee.
