Genaway Homers in Wahconah Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Will Genaway went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs Thursday to lead the Wahconah baseball team to a 6-2 win over Pittsfield on Buddy Pellerin Field at Clapp Park.
 
Genaway led a 15-hit attack for Wahconah, which also got a 3-for-4 performance from Austin Cancilla, who doubled and scored twice. Joe Woronick also doubled and went 3-for-5.
 
On the mound, Ethan Forfa struck out six and allowed just one earned run in a complete-game win.
 
Pittsfield got two hits from Carter Matthews. Hayden Harrington and Ian Benoit each drove in a run for the Generals (10-8), who host Taconic on Saturday afternoon.
 
Wahconah (13-6) finishes the regular season Friday afternoon in North Adams against McCann Tech.
