Mount Greylock Baseball Reaches Semi-Finals

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The No. 1-seeded Mount Greylock baseball team defeated No. 8 Mohawk Monday afternoon, 7-3, at Mount Greylock Regional School.
 
The Mounties took an early 3-0 lead  in the first inning before Mohawk scored one in the top of the fourth to make it 3-1, but Greylock brought in four more runs in the bottom of the inning to go ahead 7-1.
 
Mohawk scored two more runs in the top of the fifth leaving the final score at 7-3.
 
Adam Hall pitched five innings for Mount Greylock, striking out four.
 
Delaney Pudvar and Eric Hirsch each had two hits; Pudvar had two RBIs and Jake Benzinger had one.
 
Mount Greylock advances to the semi-finals and will play No. 5 South Hadley, who defeated Drury Monday afternoon, 2-1. The game will be played at 4 p.m. Wednesday at MCLA complex.
