WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Reece Gillette went 3-for-3 with a triple and three runs batted in Monday to lead the Mount Greylock baseball team to a 12-1 win over St. Joseph.

The Crusaders got good pitching from Dan Bullock to keep it a 4-1 Mount Greylock lead going to the fifth inning, but the Mounties exploded for four in the fifth and four more in the sixth to put the game away.

Bullock went five innings, allowing six earned runs. Early on, he was plagued by three errors in the first inning that helped Mount Greylock take a 2-0 lead. Bullock later drove home the lone St. Joe run with one of just three hits allowed by Mount Greylock starter Alex Backiel.

Backiel benefited from a 3-for-4 performance by Brandon Condon, who contributed two doubles to a 12-hit Mount Greylock attack.

The Mounties (6-3) go to Lenox on Wednesday.

St. Joe is scheduled to host Mount Everett on Tuesday.
